Melrose Youth Softball

Play ball this summer for our local travel team. It’s a great way for 12U and 14U players to hone their skills and have fun this summer.

• Melrose is part of the Middle-Essex Summer League, which includes Malden, Medford, Wilmington, Andover, and additional towns north of Boston
• The season starts June 27 and runs through late August
• We will hold games and practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays (the focus is on games -- we typically only have one practice.
• There are no weekend games or activities.
• Registration is $90 (Scholarships are available -- contact Alex Wallace at president@melroseyouthsoftball.com for details) 

Registration is limited and closes on June 15!  We fill the roster based on a first-come-first-served basis.

Leagues by Age

Per USA Softball rules, MYS leagues are based on age. The spring, summer, and fall age groups/divisions are the same. The age qualification is based on the player’s age on January 1, 2022. For example, a player who is 10 on January 1, 2022 will play in the 10U league even if she turns 11 later in the 2022 calendar year.
